KL2 Alumna, Jihye Yun, Cancer Research Lab at Baylor

Jihye Yun, KL2 alumna, was recruited by Baylor College of Medicine to start her own lab as a tenure-track Assistant Professor, Dr. Yun was awarded $2 million for a 5 year faculty recruitment award from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) in addition to $1 million seed money. The research proposal for the CPRIT grant was based on the work supported by her KL2 career development award with the CTSC. She was also the recipient of a K22 grant from the National Cancer Institute.

Jihye Yun was a KL2 Scholar from June 2014 to May 2016 with research in gut microbiota and colon cancer.

Announcements

The KL2 Scholars Program with the protected time (75% or 50% for surgeons) to pursue training through our rigorous didactic coursework and to conduct high-quality clinical and translational mentored research.
