Congrats to CTSC KL2 alumna, Cori Green, MD, MSc, on her editorial contributions to the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) final recommendation statements on anxiety, depression and suicide risk screening in children and adolescents – specifically concerning anxiety screenings due to a high prevalence of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. 

A two time recipient of the Weill Cornell Medicine ‘Excellence in Teaching’ Award, Dr. Green is nationally recognized leader in behavioral and mental health education who has created a national curriculum through the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Green is a faculty member for a New York State (Project TEACH) and national (REACH Institute) initiative to train primary care providers in practice to improve mental health care in their practice.

Dr. Green was appointed a KL2 Scholar in 2016 where her research focused on “Predictors for Managing Pediatric Mental Health Problems in Pediatric Trainees.” During her KL2 training Dr. Green’s mentoring team included John Walkup, MD (previously of) Weill Cornell Medicine and William Trochim, PhD of Cornell University.     

Dr. Green is Vice Chair of Behavioral Health in the Department of Pediatrics and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Associate Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's Hospital at Weill Cornell Medical Center. 

The CTSC KL2 Career Development Core Program supports junior faculty and senior residents and fellows by providing salary support, protected time, advanced degree training, and practical skills necessary to conduct interdisciplinary Clinical Translational Investigation within a team research environment.
