Call For TL1 Trainee Applications To Serve on the Translational Science Program Committee

The Translational Science (TS) Program Committee is seeking one predoctoral student and one postdoctoral fellow who are currently in a TL1 training program funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) to serve on the TS Program Committee.

The TS Program Committee is responsible for the program content of the annual meeting of the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS). This is a great opportunity to take an active role in programming the science and format of the annual meeting. 

Eligibility and Responsibilities include:

  • Submission of a first author abstract to the 2019 ACTS meeting (deadline TBD)
  • Commitment to attend all three days (March 6-8, 2019) of the 2019 ACTS meeting held in Washington, DC
  • Commitment to fully participate in the TS Program Committee Debrief Session held on the last day of the meeting (March 8, 2019) and the face to face meeting in June
  • Serve as a Trainee Representative in the TL1 Directors National Organization, which involves attending monthly one-hour phone calls (third Monday every month from 4-5 pm EST)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Any Predoctoral Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Trainee in an NCATS-funded TL1 Training Program member in good standing is eligible to apply. • Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee of the TL1 Directors National Organization
• Notification of selections will be emailed by October 22, 2018
